Kids activities
Did you know that the Trøndersk Matfestival has its very own festival for children and young people, where all activities are free?
Children and young people are the producers, chefs, waiters, and food artisans of the future. So what could be more sustainable than teaching children how to make good, healthy food, so they can make better choices for themselves and for our planet?
You’ll find Ung Matfest in Rådhusparken throughout the opening hours of the Trøndersk Matfestival.
The Stage Area
The Oi! Dish
The Oi! Dish consists of small dishes that can be purchased throughout the festival area. Each exhibitor chooses whether to offer an Oi! Dish, but all dishes are sold at the same price. Visitors can taste their way through the dishes and vote for their favorite to win “Oi! Dish of the Year.”
The concept was created to put extra focus on how the exhibitors’ fantastic products can be used in cooking. Taste your way through Trøndelag at the festival and discover new ways to use amazing local products!
Explore what’s coming up—and join when the local food community comes together to inspire, learn, and celebrate everything we create together.
