Children’s Area 2026
Children and young people are the future producers, chefs, servers, and food processors. So what could be more sustainable than teaching children to prepare good, healthy food so they can make sound food choices for themselves and for our planet? At the Young Food Festival, children get to taste, feel, try, make, and “hug” their way to greater knowledge about the process from sea and soil to table.
And you! Everything in the children’s program is completely free. Let the children enjoy hands-on, down-to-earth activities that spark creativity, engagement, and curiosity. Below you can read about a selection of activities and offerings from the rich “children’s menu” at the Trøndelag Food Festival.
