Homemade hamburger

Homemade hamburger

Approach

  1. 1

The chuck is trimmed, cut into strips and ground (see video). Then mix in salt and spices, and knead it well into the dough.

  2. 2

Shape into burgers of desired size and thickness, remember that thicker burgers retain juiciness longer. Freeze down any burgers you're not going to fry right away, and save for a later occasion.

  3. 3

Fry the burgers in a frying pan on high heat, either in butter or oil. Fry one side until meat juices start to seep out. Flip the burgers and repeat on the other side. The burgers are then medium cooked.
